Cavalier Galleries, a fixture in the art world for 40 years, is ushering in a new chapter this September with the opening of its Midtown flagship at 3 West 57th Street, 4th floor. The move marks a strategic relocation from Chelsea to one of Manhattan’s most prestigious corridors, long regarded as the historic heart of American art and a global destination for cultural institutions.

The gallery will debut the new space on Wednesday, September 17 with an opening reception from 5:00–7:00 pm. The inaugural exhibition features works by seminal 20th-century artists such as Diego Rivera, Hans Hofmann, and Fernand Léger in dialogue with works by leading contemporary artists including photojournalist Steve McCurry, painter Paul G. Oxborough, and sculptor Jane DeDecker. Highlights include Adam Umbach’s bold, color-saturated works that explore nostalgia and American iconography; Mark S. Kornbluth’s stirring portraits of Broadway theaters; and John Terelak’s timeless impressionist paintings.
