Awich “Japan Champloo in the Park ft BIGYUKI / JPTHEWAVY / OZworld / U-LEE

September 14, 6 pm10 pm.
1080-1350

Hailed as the queen of Japanese hip-hop, Awich is the living embodiment of all that makes the genre culturally vital. Over her boundary-pushing career, the Okinawa-born rapper, singer, and songwriter has balanced razor-sharp commentary with unguarded humanity, forward-thinking musicianship with a fierce devotion to her heritage.

Her latest album The Union (2023) merges experimental hip-hop with traditional Okinawan sounds, underscoring her mission to uplift her community while fearlessly telling her truth. Awich has sold out Japan’s arenas, performed at Fuji Rock, and became the first Japanese rapper to perform at Coachella. She recently released her U.S. debut single produced by RZA and featuring FERG, marking a bold new chapter in her global journey.
