Young People’s Chorus of New York City Schools Concert

YPC (Young People’s Chorus of New York City) presents its annual Schools Concert, uniting 1,000 students from 16 New York City schools across four boroughs in a joyful celebration of music and childhood. Under the direction of YPC Creative Director Elizabeth Nūñez and Director of School Choruses Program Caitlin Henning, this year’s concert – themed Merry Go Round – The Wonder of Childhood – features songs from around the world, including Africa, the Americas, Japan, Mexico, Russia, and more. The performance showcases the talent and spirit of NYC youth through YPC’s award-winning Schools Choruses program, which has brought music education and performance opportunities to NYC’s public school students since 2003.
