Summer Fridays got a lot better with Live Hip Hop performances at Somewhere Nowhere. Trusted Mic with performances from The Rakiem Walker Project will fuse modern and classic hiphop performances with 360 views of Manhattan’s skyline. An accomplished saxophone player and music director born in Brooklyn and raised in Harlem and the Bronx, the soulful and skilled music of Rakiem Walker has garnered attention and has toured the world playing for top artists including R&B group Soul 4 Real (Uptown Records) and has also recorded with legendary hip-hop rapper and producer the RZA as a saxophonist for several Wu-Tang Clan recordings including albums ‘Only Built 4 Cuban Linx’ (Raekwon) and ‘Tical 2000’ (Method Man).  The new Friday night programming will combine different genres of hip hop from jazz, r&b, old school to drill music, with instruments and special appearances.
