TOM TORO: AND TO THINK WE STARTED AS A BOOK CLUB…

November 12, 7 pm8:30 pm.

“Yes, the planet got destroyed, but for a beautiful moment in time we created a lot of value for shareholders.”

Join acclaimed New Yorker cartoonist Tom Toro for an evening of laughs and levity in celebration of his debut cartoon collection, AND TO THINK WE STARTED AS A BOOK CLUB… Tom will take us on a hilarious visual tour of the magazine’s 100-year cartoon history, culminating in his own iconic contributions over recent years. Then the legendary, groundbreaking cartoonist and National Humanities Medal recipient Roz Chast will join Tom on stage for a discussion of his book (and all things cartoony), followed by an audience Q&A. We’ll cap off the night just like The New Yorker ends every issue, with — what else? — a live caption contest.
