This Sun-Breathing Earth: Chamber Music at the Climate Imaginarium

Enjoy a summer afternoon of intimate music & art that encourages us to listen closely to our natural surroundings and celebrate community. The Glass Clouds Ensemble presents a short concert of classical & contemporary music on themes of nature – paired with art by Queens-based painter Clara Curbera. Governors Island is a 10-min ferry ride from Manhattan and Brooklyn and has bike trails, art exhibits, playgrounds, and food trucks.The Climate Imaginarium is a center for climate, community, and culture on the island. They have two floors of art and climate installations to explore, and they’re offering a Solarpunk poetry workshop at 3:30pm – anyone attending the concert is welcome to stay!
