My name is Tyler Jordan — I’m a Brooklyn-based photographer, artist, and founder of the C.A.N.V.A.S Gallery, located inside City Point BKLYN.

From April 19th to May 19th, I will present The Spread Love Project, my debut solo exhibition featuring long-exposure subway photography that reimagines the NYC Transit system through light painting, neon, and storytelling. The exhibition will also mark the official release of my first photography book, The White Book, a seven-chapter visual exploration of graffiti culture, abandoned infrastructure, and the subway’s role in shaping the city — told from the perspective of someone who worked within the system as a cleaner, conductor, and train operator.

In addition to the exhibition, we are launching Young BKLYN: Art In Motion, a month-long series of free and accessible community events produced in collaboration with Brooklyn Org, Lululemon, The Brooklyn Children’s Museum, and more. Highlights include:

  • Yoga for Black PPL in partnership with Lululemon

  • Community Game Night

  • Young BKLYN: Art In Motion with Brooklyn Org & The Brooklyn Children’s Museum

  • Acrylic Anarchy — Art Battle

  • Plus workshops, performances, and creative activations throughout the exhibition.

This project is not just about photography, but about giving space for community, culture, and creativity in the heart of Brooklyn.
