The Future of Contemporary Dance with Gallim at the Joyce

June 3, 6 pm9 pm.

Join us on Saturday June 3rd as we experience the future of contemporary dance with female-founded Gallim dance, plus dinner & discussion before the show.

Founded in 2007 by groundbreaking choreographer Andrea Miller, GALLIM is a movement creation company dedicated to art, education and community building for a diverse, inclusive, and accessible world. We’ll be seeing a program celebrating Miller’s expansive, boundary-blurring, interdisciplinary work which has stimulated the imagination of audiences worldwide.

New works and long time favorites all share Miller and GALLIM’s embodiment of the elemental and sensual appearing in the glow and shadows of live performance and its alchemy. Music pulsates throughout the program which includes the intoxicating tracks of Nicolas Jaar and the hallowed songs of music legend Sade. Plus Miller’s much anticipated World Premiere for the “King of Krump,” Brian “HallowDreamz” Henry, marks a new collaboration between two mavericks of movement invention.

Before the show, join us for dinner and discussion at Bocca di Bacco Chelsea. Make a day of it, and join for our Art-full Discovery walk of Chelsea and Hudson Yards beforehand.

All tickets include a seat in the Orchestra with the group. Full experience tickets also include shared appetizers* & a spot at dinner. All drinks and additional food should be ordered and paid separately on site.
