Stuyvesant Park Neighborhood Association Announces May Fundraising Event Honoring New York’s Assembly Member Harvey Epstein

NEW YORK, NY, APRIL 2025 – The Stuyvesant Park Neighborhood Association (SPNA) is thrilled to announce that Assembly Member and East Village resident, Harvey Epstein, will be among those honored at its annual fundraising gala.

The theme of this year’s gala, Native New York, will celebrate the city’s deep-rooted history and exciting cultural landscape that makes Stuyvesant Park so special. The evening will feature performances by the beloved Kidwell Sisters, remarks by Mr. Epstein, and more. Guest will also enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction, all in support of SPNA’s mission.

Stuyvesant Square Park is unique and cherished,” says SPNA President, Liza Meneades. “Through our funding and advocacy, our vibrant community enjoys the park’s beautiful trees and gardens, art installations, and the over 75 diverse events we sponsor annually.

Since its founding, SPNA has been dedicated to maintaining and preserving the residential character of the neighborhood, enriching the community, and working with local and state authorities in support of the park. Jason Money, VP, Gala Committee Chair adds, “Our park has become an essential part of the neighborhood’s vitality, but we rely on community support to continue our mission. We invite everyone to join us for this year’s gala – it’s going to be our best yet!”

Proceeds from the gala support essential programming and traditions such as:

  • Garden bed plantings and park beautification
  • Music, yoga, dance classes, children’s story hours, and art activities
  • Celebrations of Earth Day, Pride, Hispanic Heritage Month, and the Halloween Doggies Costume Contest
