“Spirits” is an immersive theatrical experience, written by Scott Cramton, set in 1927 at Lou Zar’s Speakeasy. The tragic story focuses on Olive Thomas, an immigrant who recently moved to New York City with hopes of making a name for herself. Hopes aside, she cannot reach fame without a little help from beyond the veil. She makes a dreadful deal and soon becomes a lounge singer at Lou’s. Her popularity quickly rises, and apparitions haunt her as her deal begins to bend.

Masked audience members decide the fate of Olive Thomas as reapers prepare for her to break her promise. This two-hour experience will include complementary desserts and a cash bar for guests to enjoy. An untrustworthy narrator, Mr. Scratch will guide you through this twisted story and, by the end, you’ll be left wondering: are you truly alive, or are you a spirit?

At American Immersion Theater, we want every guest to enjoy their experience. This performance contains themes of death, grief, and supernatural elements that may not be suitable for all audiences.
