Plants, Photographs and Stencils

In this 5-week class, we will explore a myriad of materials including plants, photographs and stencils to create a series of hand-printed artworks. All materials will be provided (or foraged), with room for us to bring in materials from home. Unlike drawing and painting, printmaking offers many opportunities to experiment with texture, pattern and graphic images utilizing found objects. We will use Gelli plates as our matrix and artist will better understand how to take risks and hone their printing technique in this mono-type class! Our lessons are designed for beginner and experienced artists alike and is taught by our resident printmaker, Ana Laura Juarez.
