Rooted in “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”, the work embraces the fable’s inherent playfulness while reimagining its narrative to speak to our present reality. What happens when warnings are ignored, not because they are false, but because they have been drowned out? “Cry Wolf” is a dance-theater production that began as a research process in early 2024 in New York City and has since evolved to reflect the world we live in today.

NVA & Guests’ residency at BMCC Tribeca PAC is part of the CUNY Dance Initiative (CDI), which receives major support from The Mertz Gilmore Foundation and Howard Gilman Foundation. Additional support is provided by the SHS Foundation, Rockefeller Brothers Fund’s Charles E. Culpeper Arts & Culture program, and the Harkness Foundation for Dance. CDI is spearheaded by The Kupferberg Center for the Arts at Queens College. www.cuny.edu/danceinitiative
