
Nuclear-Free Future Awards

The 2025 Nuclear-Free Future Awards, headlined by renowned international musical artists Laurie Anderson, Peter Gordon and Max Gordon will take place at The Great Hall at Cooper Union on Tuesday, March 4th. The event is free and open to the public. No registration required. A complimentary reception at 6pm will be followed by the Awards ceremony 7pm-9pm.
The Nuclear-Free Future Awards, founded in 1998, honor the often unsung heroes who work to rid the world of uranium mining, nuclear weapons, nuclear power and uranium munitions.
This year’s Nuclear-Free Future Award laureates are S.P. Udayakumar (India) for Resistance; Márcia Gomes de Oliveira (Brazil) and Norbert Suchanek (Germany) for Education; and Edwick Madzimure (Zimbabwe) for Solution.
Honorary Lifetime Achievement awards will be given to teacher, author and anti-nuclear activist, Joanna Macy, and posthumously to Native American activist and musician, Klee Benally.
