On Saturday, September 6, at 3 to 5pm, two-time Tony Award nominee and two-time Emmy nominee Arian Moayed, the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) and Waterwell will host “New York Proud: Stories From the City of Immigrants” at the Perelman Arts Center—a vibrant evening of live storytelling, music, and community reflection honoring the profound contributions of immigrants to New York City.

Attendees will hear deeply personal stories of a diverse range of immigrant New Yorkers across time, delivered by artists, as well as civic and faith leaders—including Waterwell founder and Succession’s Arian Moayed. The event, co-produced by renowned theater director and Waterwell Artistic Director Lee Sunday Evans, will weave together powerful stories that reflect the resilience, diversity, and sense of belonging at the heart of New York’s immigrant experience.
