New Play “V” Tackles Friendship and Modern Manhood at 124 Bank Street Theater This December

The Sereys Company & Are We In Love Productions to Present World Premiere of “V” at 124 Bank Street Theater, December 11–14

The Sereys Company and Are We In Love Productions will present the world premiere of “V”, a new play by Nathan Sereys, running December 11–14, 2025 at the 124 Bank Street Theater in New York City. The production marks director Mia Jurkunas’s New York directorial debut.

Blending dark humor with an unexpectedly tender look at modern masculinity, “V” follows three childhood friends navigating insecurity, sexuality, and the quiet fractures that appear when people outgrow the versions of themselves they once shared. The cast features Diego Rio Ortiz as Jim, Mehdi Hadim as John, and playwright Nathan Sereys as Jack.

Seven days after being blindsided by a breakup, Jim becomes convinced that rescuing the relationship requires mastering something he’s embarrassed to admit he doesn’t understand. He drags John and Jack into a mission that begins as comically misguided and slowly unravels into something far more revealing. As the night spirals, the trio are forced to confront the fears they’ve long avoided—what it means to be desired, to be vulnerable, and to admit you don’t have everything figured out.

Director Mia Jurkunas says, “As a woman, it is quite a delight to direct three men in a story about finding the clitoris, because it really isn’t about that at all. It’s about what it means to love and care about someone you have grown up with, and seen at their worst and at their best, and still deciding to stick around. Those friendships are like the clitoris: always there and always ready for love and attention.”
