When Bernie Keegan and his friend, Ian MacAulay, worked together cleaning Rockaway Beaches, the soundtrack of their lives consisted of ocean waves and WLIR. Their band– The Knobs– perform songs by The Smiths, The Cure, Depeche Mode, and other alternative ‘80s bands.
