Lick My Wounds – Opening Reception

“Lick My Wounds” is Boehmer’s first solo show at SATELLITE LES. The exhibition features recent works on canvas and an installation artwork that explore themes of anxiety, fantasy, and nostalgia. Brightly colored faux fur and yarn are sewn by hand together with taxidermy to depict gory imagery with art historical references. The soft sculptures have a push/pull of attraction and repulsion with glittering textures and subversive narratives.

“Lick My Wounds” is on view July 2nd-27th, 2024 at SATELLITE GALLERY, 279 Broome Street New York, NY 10002. The opening reception will be held July 2nd (6 – 9 pm). Hours are Wednesday-Saturday 1- 6 pm.
