Letter Writing Workshop

Join us at our Upper West Side location for a letter writing workshop led by journalist and cultural critic Rachel Syme. Immerse yourself in epistolary bric-a-brac as we celebrate the intimate, whimsical, and expressive art of written correspondence.

In this workshop you’ll receive thoughtful prompts and inspiration for whatever kind of letter you wish to write. Not sure who you’d write to? We can provide an address for a pen pal! Paper, envelopes, writing tools, and postage stamps will be provided, but feel free to bring your own supplies if you wish. Guests will also take home a hardcover copy of Rachel’s book, Syme’s Letter Writer, a literary jaunt in praise of the lost art of letter writing that explores a cultural history and the undeniable thrill of old-school correspondence. Ticket price also includes a $10 voucher redeemable at any Goods for the Study location.
