Tomorrow’s Champions aims to foster positive growth in young people by promoting sports and physical activity in partnership with other community-focused organizations. Together, we seek to create a healthier and more engaged youth population,” stated Mark Moyer, Executive Director of Tomorrow’s Champions. “We are excited to showcase Tomorrow’s Champions as well as four outstanding organizations that embody the spirit of empowerment and development through sports with life-changing programs,” he added. These organizations are:

Ice Hockey in Harlem (IHIH), for over 36 years, has been a cornerstone for youth development in the Harlem community. IHIH provides boys and girls with the opportunity to engage in ice hockey while developing key life skills, including leadership, academic engagement, and resilience.

Street Soccer USA fights poverty and strengthens communities by providing a pathway for underserved youth to access soccer. Founded in 2009, this organization has grown from a single team in a homeless shelter to a national movement operating in 16 cities and serving over 75,000 players.

Harlem Junior Tennis & Education Program (HJTEP) for more than 50 years has been building champions for life through its holistic approach to youth development. Serving the Harlem community, HJTEP offers tennis instruction combined with academic support, wellness initiatives, and life-skills training.

CityLax is dedicated to transforming the lives of NYC students through lacrosse. Since 2005, CityLax has expanded the sport’s reach inside public schools, providing students with an opportunity to develop skills both on and off the field.
