EmblemHealth to Host Virtual Monkeypox Town Hall

NEW YORK, NY— EmblemHealth, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health insurers, will join advocacy groups and community leaders Wednesday, August 31 at 11:30 a.m. to host a virtual Monkeypox Virus (MPV) educational town hall.

The webinar is open to the public and will feature physician experts from EmblemHealth and AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY) answering frequently asked questions and concerns about MPV symptoms, testing, vaccines, and prevention. GMHC (Gay Men’s Health Crisis) and other community leaders will join these clinical experts to discuss the impact on the LGBTQ+ community and how to ensure the city’s virus response prioritizes vulnerable communities while decreasing the stigmas and racial disparities associated with the disease. Register here to attend.
