Composers Concordance Presents – Protest Songs

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 5 PM, Composers Concordance presents Protest Songs at the legendary Stonewall Inn. In a time when freedom, democracy, and artistic expression are under threat, artists must raise their voices in resistance.

This event celebrates the powerful tradition of protest music, featuring new works by Lynn Bechtold, Seth Boustead, Patrick Grant, Gene Pritsker, and more. Highlights include Voters (Carolyn Steinberg), an audience sing-along, Lock Him Up (Eugene W. McBride), and Protest Songs Cycle (Gene Pritsker) on poems by John Pietaro. Performers include the Bowers Fader Duo, Laurie Towers/John Pietaro Duo, and other composer/performers.
