Composers Concordance Presents – Leo Genovese and Franz Hackl Duo

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 7 PM at Kostabi World, Composers Concordance presents the Leo Genovese & Franz Hackl Duo, performing their repertoire and new compositions for trumpet and piano. Premieres include Genovese’s Wait a Day and Gene Pritsker’s Imminent, alongside works by Hackl and Mark Kostabi.
Born in Argentina, pianist Leo Genovese studied classical piano before moving to Boston in 2001 to attend Berklee College of Music. He has performed with Esperanza Spalding, Wayne Shorter, and Jack DeJohnette. Based in New York, he hopes his music inspires change beyond entertainment.
Trumpeter and composer Franz Hackl is the founder of the Outreach Orchestra, Festival, and Academy. He has toured internationally, performed at top jazz clubs, and composed for events like the UN’s Year of the Mountains. His innovative approach blends tradition with a forward-thinking style.
