Carrom x Clarence Ruth Exhibition
Open now until February 22nd, Ki Smith Gallery (170 Forsyth St, New York, NY 10002) presents the Carrom x Clarence Ruth Exhibition, a first-of-its-kind exhibition that transforms traditional Carrom game boards into contemporary works of art. The exhibition features work by José Manuel Cruz, Bustart, Jeremy Yuto Nakamura, Clarence Heyward, Dynasty Ogun, Soull Ogun, Sebastian Piras, James Rubio, James Reyes, Luke Ivy Price, Sasha Bhasin, Cornelius Tulloch, and curator Clarence Ruth.
Timed to coincide with Black History Month (Feb) and New York Fashion Week, officially listed on the CFDA Fashion Week calendar, the Carrom x Clarence Ruth Exhibition blends art, fashion, and culture in an unexpected way. Curated by designer and creative director Clarence Ruth, the show invites a diverse group of artists to reinterpret the Carrom board, an object rooted in community, play, and cultural exchange, as a canvas for creative expression.
