Girl Vow is an NYC gender-focused mentoring program for girls and gender-expansive youth impacted by foster care, poverty, and the juvenile justice system. We work on Rikers Island, juvenile facilities, and help girls who are overlooked and undercounted. The task force work is a program adjunct to Girl Vow launched to address the systemic injustices impacting the families and women/girls of color when they go missing or are murderd.
