Brahms Clarinet Quintet – MusicTalks Masterpiece Sundays
Come hear what makes Brahms’ Clarinet Quintet one of the greatest works in the chamber music repertoire as part of MusicTalks’ new Sunday Series. Designed to immerse audiences in the rich tapestry of classical music, this Sunday afternoon concert will highlight Brahms’ soulful Clarinet Quintet with fascinating anecdotes about the music and musical demonstrations of Brahms’ unique chamber music writing.
The program will culminate with the short and mesmerizing “Esquisses Hebraiques” Op.13 by Alexander Krein, which utilizes the Clarinet to infuse lush romantic music with Klezmer flavor.
Featuring Claire Bourg and Masha Polishchuk (violins), Anat Malkin (viola), Andrew Janss (cello), and Alec Manasse (clarinet).
