A solo musical comedy show by Abraham Lincoln (if he had written one). You thought winning the Civil War was hard, try writing a solo hour.

Having discovered a previously unseen script of Abraham Lincoln’s secret stand-up special, Ellie MacPherson brings his story to life as she becomes Babe Lincoln. Packed with big tunes and little known facts about Abraham Lincoln, this riotous historical cabaret gradually leads into incredible stories from Ellie’s own life, allowing her to explore why we should all be a bit more like Abe. By avoiding theatres at all costs. Thank God Caveat is more of a bar/ basement situation.

Ellie MacPherson (Creator/Performer) is currently a cast member of the New York company of Mischief Theatre’s international smash hit The Play That Goes Wrong. She has headlined New York City’s top cabaret venues including Feinstein’s / 54 Below and The Green Room 42. She is also a professional voiceover artist and a Fellow of the Witness Institute, a prestigious program for emerging leaders to continue the legacy of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Elie Wiesel. Ellie is the creator and star of Happy Birthday, Mr. President!, a raucous comedy cabaret tour of American history. After developing the show in New York cabaret spaces, Ellie took the show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2022. The show received rave 5- and 4-star reviews and was listed in the Top 10 Best Reviewed Shows at the Fringe. She went to Rutgers University and graduated with a Bachelors in English and History and then got herself further in debt by attending the New School for Drama’s MFA program in Acting.

Elizabeth Bennett is a theater maker and teaching artist in NYC. Upcoming projects at The Edinburgh Fringe: New Kid on the Blockchain, Molly Brenner: Inhibited.
