Heaven Come Down is an interdisciplinary performance merging sound, movement, and visual storytelling. Set to Jamel Robinson’s original musical score, this work directly responds to his solo exhibition A Love Worth Fighting For, encompassing his paintings, assemblages, and film. Jerron Herman’s choreography translates the exhibition’s emotional and spiritual resonance into movement, forming a deeply considered dialogue with Robinson’s live performance of the score. Together, they bridge the material and the ethereal, inviting the audience into a transformative experience. Robinson will start the afternoon with a guided tour of the exhibition, followed by the Heaven Come Down performance, and ending with a Q&A. We hope to see you there!
