American Chamber Opera Company

The American Chamber Opera Company will present “Images of Her,” an evening of two world premiere operas: “Through/In” by Douglas Anderson, libretto by Andrew Joffe, and “Simonetta” by Larry Lipkis, libretto by Robert Block. A tour de force for mezzo Nicole Salomon, “Through/In” is a monodrama about the differences between the persona we present to the world, and the world we hold inside ourselves. “Simonetta” is the story of artist Sandro Botticelli and his grief at the death of his young model and muse Simonetta Vespucci. Cast is Rachel Arky, Lianne Gennaco, Seth Gilman, and Steven Tompkins. Both operas are directed by Andrew Joffe, with music direction and conducting by Douglas Anderson.
