Adornment & Identity: Indigenous Stories in Jewelry & Textiles

Join the Women’s Jewelry Association New York Metro Chapter for an evening of fresh perspectives on fashion, representation and storytelling through jewelry and textiles.
WJA NY Metro are excited to host a panel of award-winning Indigenous textile and jewelry designers Naiomi Glasses, Tyler Glasses and Omar Monroy (She/They) of El Techichi Jewelry. Three incredible artists who have created for fashion brands and movie stars including Ralph Lauren, Gabriela Hearst, and Lily Gladstone.
Tchesmeni Leonard, Senior Fashion Editor at Allure | Glamour | Teen Vogue | SELF will guide us on a journey through conversation where will explore the deep-rooted history, heritage, and traditions that shape their work, highlighting how Indigenous textiles and jewelry serves as both a means of preservation and a platform for artistic evolution.
Not only will we hear their stories, but we will also have the opportunity to see and try on some of their jewelry and textiles!
Adornment & Identity: Indigenous Stories in Jewelry & Textiles will be a beautiful experience.
Tickets are on sale through May 20th, no same day ticket or at door ticket sales are permitted. Lite bites and drinks will be served from 6:30pm.
