UNIQLO x Magnum Photos Present Global Photo Exhibition-PEACE FOR ALL
UNIQLO’s global photography exhibition in partnership with Magnum Photos kicks off in the U.S. with an in-store installation at the brand’s Fifth Avenue Flagship. Through mid-October, Global Photo Exhibition-PEACE FOR ALL, a presentation of 63 works combining UNIQLO’s ‘power of clothing’ with Magnum Photos’ ‘power of photography’ ideals, will showcase the impact of ongoing customer support for UNIQLO’s PEACE FOR ALL charity T-shirt project, which has raised over $10 million USD for three international humanitarian organizations – UNHCR (the UN Refugee Agency), Save the Children, and Plan International – in total sales since its launch two years ago. In honor of the exhibition opening stateside, UNIQLO will also host a Magnum Photos-led photography workshop in partnership with the NYC Department of Social Services, with guests like Lindo Sobekwa introducing youth to the art of photography and giving them firsthand practice under expert teachers.
For the latest PEACE FOR ALL collection, launching on September 19th at UNIQLO stores and through uniqlo.com, three members of Magnum Photos, the internationally-renowned photographic cooperative traveled to Vietnam, Romania, and Ethiopia, to capture moments of PEACE FOR ALL-supported humanitarian activities from their own perspectives. These images powerfully illustrate the global impact of purchasing and wearing PEACE FOR ALL T-shirts, sharing where these activities are making a difference and the people who are being supported, resulting in three new designs for the latest collection.
